I知 looking at 2 Mercedes Benz GL 450s, one has 143k, the other has 93k. Both have been well maintained, 1 owners. Dealer is asking $17k for the higher mileage GL and the other dealer wants $19,500 for the lesser one. I知 planning on countering low for the cheaper one like $13k. Is it worth going after the higher mile one, do these vehicles have a lot of problems? I致e owned BMWs and have been really pleased, when everyone acts like their money pits. I expect higher maintenance costs, Just want some feedback from seasoned GL owners. Thanks!

I bought a 2015 GL450 with 93K miles last November 2019. It was a one owner, purchased at dealership where I bought it. They showed and gave me the VMI, Service Manager went over everything line by line. They had new tires on it and in very good overall condition and drove great. I recently had to replace the front left air strut, but very mechanically inclined and did it in my garage for about $600 total parts. Other than that, all is working top notch. Like many have said reading this forum, by the time it hits 100K, almost all the bugs have been worked out. Yes, it is worrisome being out of warranty, barring major issues, but I much prefer this over my 2012 Honda accord.

I wouldn't buy the higher mileage vehicle. The downside risk is too high in my view.
