2013 gl450 FORD
Hello all
not my vehicle, a friend has a 2013 gl450 died on the way to work. Her husband is a car guy like me so he towed it home and checked the codes.
P0456 small leak detected in fuel tank
P0087 low fuel pressure detected at the fuel delivery pressure sensor
p0442 small leak in fuel tank detected
my initial guess would be the high pressure fuel pump is toasted. Kinda weird to see these codes on the gasoline engine. Anyone here had ever seen these codes on their truck? What could cause them? Thank you

P0442 P0456 - Gas Cap and Evaporation System
P0087 - Low Pressure in Fuel Line
Two High Pressure Pumps. If one "dies" - usually limp mode - but still working (like crap).
There is a a third fuel supply low pressure pump in fuel tank itself. That one probably gone.

thank you. He towed the truck home and cleared the code, test driving round the block and put on about 20 miles, everything seems normal now. I’ll let him know about the intank pump
