2013 GL63 weird engine leak
Ive got a weird leak. I saw a puddle on the ground in the morning. I initially thought it was an oil leak. i looked on the under side of the motor and I thought it might be steering fluid but it is really thin. it is towards the front of the motor. I tried to track it down and used a mirror to look but it is so tight in there that I cant see anything. It is also all along the outside of the entire serpentine belt. If you look closely at the picture, Does anyone know of any known leaks like the water pump that the gl63s might have? The leak doesn't look like much in the picture because I had sprayed brake cleaner all over to remove most of the gunk but it was substantial that it was on the floor of my driveway and maybe about 1/2 a cups worth.

I tried to smell it but I had a small cold and I couldn't smell anything. The fluid looked dirty and I initially thought it was oil until I saw that the path it had taken was covered with grime making the fluid look like oil. I too am thinking it is a coolant leak. Im hoping it is not the water pump as it doesn't look like the easiest thing to do with such little room.

One of the common coolant leak sources on the m278 and I would imagine m157 as well is the turbo coolant lines. Look for them going from the front of the engine, roughly halfway down, to each turbo on the sides. The pipes are aluminum at the turbo ends and plastic at the engine ends - this is the connection that usually deteriorates and breaks.
