Not sure how this could have happened and just curious if others have had it happen, and also about replacement (would warranty cover?)

Hairline crack

Doesnt look like anything hit it. Looks like a stress crack to me.

They all crack. Probably happens from the passenger pushing on that piece over and over while opening the door.

I concur. The veneer is extremely thin and prone to cracking. I've got cracks on both sides. Doesn't bother me in the least.

Probably not worth the money to replace as it will likely happen again.

Common failure. Yes, my dealer replaced it under warranty. Surprising for my dealer to do that, they pushed back on all of my warranty requests except that one.

Same thing happened to my old 2017 GLS despite normal/light use. I didn't even know when or how it happened and just noticed the crack one day. Dealer replaced it under warranty during a maintenance visit with no question asked.
