Manual Open Door
The drivers-side rear door on my 2014 gl350 will not open. The lock mechanism works, from the door, the key, and the front seat. The window motor works. But the door latch will not release from either the outside door handle or the inside handle. I've taken off the door panel - its difficult to work there because of the seat. I have taken off the door module to look at the actuator and see if there are an obvious broken cable or something like that. Nothing that I can see. To go deeper and to remove/change the latch/lock actuator, the door has to be open. There are multiple screws in the door shell that hold the actuator in place which are, obviously, inaccessible without opening the door. To all you gurus . . . is there any way to manually release the door, similar to the manual release on the lift gate latch???? Can anyone think of a way to open the door without pulling the screws through the door frame?

If you can get the door trim panel off, please post some photos.
Are you willing to sacrifice (damage) parts in order to get this done without driving 200 snowy miles over mountains? Or is waiting for the snow to clear and you have another 200 mile trip planned a better option?
If it were mine I would stare at it for a couple of hours, search this site and benzworld and download WIS and see what can be found.
Try calling an Indy shop or body shop and appeal to their human compassion to give you a suggestion or two. It may require a “slim Jim” to forcibly open the lock. Your local police dept or towing/recovery place might be able to help. Call AAA. You have options.
