Hi everyone. I got in my wife's car and chose my previously programmed seating adjustment. I didn't realize there was something on the back seat floor(umbrella, bag, etc). The seat started adjusting and it was pinned up against umbrella in the back seat floor and the motor kept running. I stopped it and cleared the back area and tried re adjusting it and now the seat is moving VERY SLOW. Its like motor's dying or something.

Do you know what needs to be done to get this fixed? Replace motor?

This is the part they recommended I found it cheaper for $1200. Do you have any idea what they would charge at the indy or dealer? Also, would I be able to find off brand replacement equivalent? I prefer not to use MB parts for this if I can help it. Thank you so much.

Thank you sir. I know what it is. I will be taking this to either indy/dealer depending on the price difference. I noticed that you are in Tampa? I will be moving there in November! Thanks for your help!

So I went to 2 Indy shops and 1 dealer. 1 indy shop said they would get back to me but they did not. I called them and they said they would get back to me but did not. Another indy shop quoted me $2500 for the part listed above and 4 hours. Dealer quoted me the same price of $2500 so I ended up taking it to a dealer to get it fixed.
