Did anyone successfully convert a 450 to 550 or 63 kit

So as I’ve had my truck for 5 years I’d like to make it more aggressive and considering doing the amg conversion or 550 kit would anybody advise to go this route or leave it as a 450 sleeper, as it has the 63 tune from renntech such a shame the 350 I believe in Canada comes with the amg package from dealer and in the states we aren’t given that option. My question is how much did it cost or if possible would the GLS parts work on here and be a better upgrade that would make the truck look much newer and better ? Thanks for your help and feedback

You will need to stick with 13-15 GL parts for the cost/easiest transition. You can go GLS parts but will need wiring assistance and it will cost more.

Best to find the 550/63 parts used in good condition. The only true diff in them is the 550 v 63 rear bumper. It’s just the lower valance and 2-3 supports are needed to swap to 63 and the exhaust tips. In my “panda build thread” I swapped to the 63 valance and tips. After that the 63 is more brushed silver front lip and rear and the 550 is chrome in those areas.

Other than those tips do you and then sell your stock parts to help recover some cost.

You can upgrade it to GLS

You can buy a GLS body kit from Alibaba for about 2100 including shipping. You can turn it into 2018 GLS
