GLS 450 - Exhaust Noise
Hello Everyone,
I am planning to upgrade from my E class to a 2018 GLS450. Test drove a certified pre owned and my partner noticed that the exhaust noise was high is that common or something wrong with the vehicle? It is like you can tell what the driver inputs are with the accelerator.

Thanks for responding.
The Sound was pretty loud as if there was no sound deadening in the second row and there was a constant drone kind of noise while coasting which felt a little weird. I am just trying to figure out if that is normal or if something is wrong with the Vehicle.

Hard to say for sure. A 2018 vehicle is not old. Do you have reason to believe there is damage under the vehicle that would cause the loud noise you are experiencing?

They have replaced the bulk head for rodent damage as part of the certification and also they had oil leaks in the engine, replaced the windshields etc.. In total they have done 7k worth repairs. I was concerned maybe there was some kind of damage or some mechanical issue which they were trying to skip
