the strangest sound from the rear passenger doors
Hey all, I just got a GL450 2013 with 90K on the clock.
The strangest noise comes from the rear passenger doors when I open them and the car is stopped. Basically unlock the car, and then open the rear doors (either side) and there is about 1.5 seconds of bussing sound like there is a motor in the door thats turning on for 1-2 seconds then stops. This is repeatable over and over - close the door then re-open it and there it is again.
The only motor that that I know of in the rear doors is the window motor, and those are working fine when the car is running.
Anyone know what this is, or if its anything to be concerned about?

Disregard this post. I am returning the vehicle to carvana - its been fully painted and you can see bondo block gouges in the rear fenders...
Looks like the car was vandalized or something and badly repainted.

1. The noise was the self close motor that suctions to close the doors of if it doesn’t full close properly.
2. While great they have the 7 day return the real issue is that they either ignored the issues bc they got hosed on the buy and tried to pawn it off, or they failed to even notice the issues. Either way it’s pretty bad but worked out for you, but now on to finding another ride.
