265/50r20 tires

265/50r20 tires
I have read all I can find on this site about tires for my 2015 GL350. I have read that some people are using 275/55r20's which makes a couple of mph difference in speed because of the extra diameter gained, but what about going smaller? I would like to go to a Nokian WRG4 Suv 4 season tire but they don't do 275/50r20 but they do a 265/50r20, that's about 10mm loss in width and about the same on diameter. Anyone know how much of a difference will those losses make?

For winter a narrower tires is actually preferable and won't make any difference on the speedo. The diameter is the only thing that will affect the speedo and in this case the difference is negligible so I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the input MartinC2S, that was my thinking too, going to a 275/55R20 and adding almost an 1" to diameter makes no sense. Using the sizemytires link put the tires I am looking at -1.28% range but it never hurts to ask more knowledgeable people.
