Climate control module
The Climate Controller Module is unresponsive. There are no lights, it simply appears there is no power to the unit. The aux cooling fan is stuck running on HI, and the defroster has defaulted to ON. I have found other threads where replacing the controller is the most likely repair. The fuse is ok.
The part number on the sticker on the back of the unit is A 166 900 67 09, the HW:10/44 SW: 14/06.00
I tried looking up this part number on the Mercedes website with no luck. I have also tried finding a used part on eBay, again, no luck. If I search by 2015 GL550 I find plenty of controllers that the seller claims are “compatible”, but the part numbers are different. I am surprised there are so many part numbers for the same make, model and year. Am I missing something here?

Find MB EPC, locate your model, and check climate control modules. Parts usually got replaced with time by different versions, with different serial number.
However it might need a coding.
