Rear headrest question

Hi,
Today I noticed that one of the rear headrest folds in more than it should.
I don't believe this is an adjustment issue and it looks more that something internal is broken.
Has anybody else seen this with an automatic Easy Access rear seat?
Thanks!

I actually modified mine to be that way on purpose, to make it more comfortable for the second row passengers. https://mbworld.org/forums/gl-class-...drest-fix.html
I don't know why one of yours is different from the other. Maybe a previous owner modified one side?

That indeed is a possibility.
However, I seem to remember it was stiff before.
Maybe the pin just broke, or I just remember incorrectly.
I'll look into this (and maybe try to find out where to get a replacement pin is this indeed is the issue).

yeah a lot of people made that modification because the original way made it unsafe to install some carseats since you couldn't get it all the way flush to the backrest. also it made it uncomfortable for young kids that were in boosters and their heads were just reaching the lower part of the headrest. very likely the previous owner had to make that adjustment.

The previous owner did the pin removal on one side only. Here is why people do it on “easy access” seats: (my 11 year old)
