'15 GL350 (x166) Leaking oil from front of engine
Anybody know of a better part diagram tool than this one?:

The component you are looking at is part #5. I've noticed a leak from the muffler (turbo muffler?) as well on my Dad's ML. He had taken the vehicle in for the Field Measure and they diagnosed a few leak points - 1 being the muffler and the intercooler hoses (#3 ) on both sides (they have rubber seal o-rings that failed). They ended up replacing the 2 hoses as part of field measure.
When he got the vehicle back, I took out the muffler, there are a few Torx bolts holding the 2 halves together that were all surprisingly loose. Tightened them and it seems to have resolved the leak for now as it is dry, not sure if there is a serviceable gasket in the part but haven't ventured to that point yet.
i got mine from FCP Euro complete with filter and all for about $ 250.00
good luck
Upon further inspection, I noticed the following:
- I had same greasiness like the picture from OP
- air intake to turbo area is very greasy due to oil leak
- CCV tubing to intake very wet
I ordered CCV from FCP Euro and just finished installing it. Below is a pick comparing old and new CCV showing the enlarged center hole of the old vs new, which allowed oil to get sucked in to the intake.
I then sprayed this to the CCV hose port in the air intake while the engine is running until the can was empty.
