2013 GL550

Heated Steering Wheel Not Working

Curious if anyone else has had their heated steering wheel fail on them…

My 2013 GL550 has about 134k miles on it and yesterday (during the coldest day so far this year) the heated steering wheel stopped working. The light on the knob turns on (red) and fuse (11) isn’t blown, but no temperature change on the steering wheel.

Anyone have experience diagnosing a failed heated steering wheel?

2004 Mercedes SL500

My 2004 SL500 has the same problem. Did you get any tips on how to fix it?

Unfortunately, mine is still not working, consistently. Stays on for a little while, then turns off and won’t turn back on (though the light stays on the whole time). Dealer replaced steering wheel control module thinking it would fix it, but didn’t ($800 hypotheses didn’t pay off).
