GL450 A/C Heater Blower motor DIFFERENT ISSUE

Hi All, first time poster so bear with me. 2013 GL450 HVAC blower motor quit working about 6 months ago. Hopped on here to find out that the blower motor resistor and/or blower motor are the most likely culprits so I changed them both. Worked for a month or 2 and then quit again. Put the old ones in and it worked for a month or so and then quit again. Changed the dash control unit and no difference. As of about 3 weeks ago it will not work at all. Got under the dash and put power directly to the motor and it works of course. Checked voltage on the red wire going INTO the resistor and it measures 3.8v. If i jump 12v going into the resistor than everything operates as it should from the dash controller. Thoughts, help, or ideas?

Thanks!

had the same issue and resolution on an old 2012 ML. Two different gauge wires were used at that connector which cause the connector to melt and thus lost the 12v connection. I just ended up bypassing the connector and straight soldered the wires together. Has worked fine ever since. my BIL now has the car for the past 4 years.
