I am looking to replace my 2015 gl550 mounts, and have found some in amazon that are wired. Was not aware that they existed, I imagine they will let you know when they are bad because of a sensor, but since mine are definitely bad and got no warning light. I am going to assume that I should buy the ones without it. I am curios on which cars or what code on the data card could these be part of?
The parts, wired right and wired left, are identical to the ones without the harness, and they are both advertised with the same part number as the ones without the wires. Please advise.
Maybe it's one of the adaptive engine mounts that Mercedes makes for some AMG models, I read that they can change from hard to soft as part of the suspension settings.
Thank you guys. Just realized that the part numbers on the box for those items on the picture don’t match the part numbers I posted. They are wrongly posted on eBay with the gl550 number.
Learned that the cables are to activate the Mount to be more rigid. But perhaps MB should add a sensor like I thought it had to let us know they go bad 😉.
