I have a 2014 GL550 and want to bring it up to date a bit as its my new DD and road trip car , anyone running this kit?

There are a ton of various “brands” selling these things online, and most are re-brands of the same hardware.

IMHO, save the $$$ and get something less expensive. For example, I’ve been running in my GL for the past couple years. There’s also been a couple threads dealing with the install on the GL.

I've found a few of the threads and read the negatives didn't see almost anything on the UNAVI kit for the GL

IMHO, there’s about a 99.5% chance that the UNAVI kit is identical, at least internally, to one of the other available kits of which there are two basic designs. In fact, it took a while but I finally found photos of their unit on their website and it looks identical to the Joyeauto unit.

This is not a surprise because it’s not like there’s there’s a plethora of top tier engineering groups working on these low margin boxes.

I don't think it is necessary to buy it, it is too expensive. I chose the Carlinkitlife price is only $300. The CarPlay module received is the same no difference. At least the functions are all the same, but the shell is different.
