Oil Additives
oil can/will influence the effect if you have thickened oil that doens't flow well you can have it be louder or last longer but you can't really fundamentally "cure" it.
You can always give amsoil a try and see if that helps. I personally use it in the fleet cars/customer cars here and I'm pleased with the amount of start up chatter on our cars. Amsoil themselves do not recommend using oil additives since it throws off the ph and chemistry of oil in addition to potentially compromising its ability to neutralize acid, cool itself, and last the full oil change interval without cooking off, thickening, or becoming acidic.
