X166 speaker rattles

Alright, if this is already on this forum, I couldn't find it.

I'm currently having issues with the rear panels on my 2015 GL550 with the Harman Kardon system; with the volume level high I believed I had blown speakers in the cargo area but when I pressed on the panels/speaker covers the rattling stopped completely. I imagine this is a similar problem to those metal clips that break free and rattle in door speaker grilles. However, after calling two dealerships they refuse to tell me how these cheap plastic panels are attached or how to detach them, so I'm afraid to just start prying on them with my pry tools until I know what's holding them in place.

Are there are schematics or knowledgeable folks out there who can help me determine how to remove these panels with integrated speaker grilles in the 3rd row/cargo area? I'd like to try loading up the area around the speakers with fabric tape to try and reduce the annoying rattling. Really not impressed with the quality of the plastic back there; my Honda Element appears to have higher quality plastic in the interior.

If you search for threads about how to replace the rear shocks (not the airbags, the whole shock/strut), they have instructions about how to remove the rear side panels to get at the top bolts of the shocks. I think that would get you access to the speakers and adding foam or rubber padding where needed.

Thanks for the tip!

Immediately found this thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/gl-class-...-tutorial.html) which outlines the process to remove the rear panels quite well.
