X166 GL450 suddenn random coils fail
This is a GL450 2013 and about one year ago I changed all my coils, back then I had a missfiring, almost like a vacuum leak, took it to the dealer, it was back out in 2 hours, no idea what he did .
about three months ago, I had a massive evap leak so I chnaged the Charcoal Canister shut off valve along with the camshaft magnets.
Now it is running very rough with random coil failures, some times it is 8,3,2 sometimes times 5,2,3
P035313
P035813
P209400
P209200
P034800
......
Please help
Thank you in advance

I am not sure this is the cause. But if the magnets failed, it could have gotten oil into the harness which can wick up to the ECU which can cause all sorts of issues. This is a pretty well documented issue on this board with various solutions. If you unplug a few of the CPS connectors and stick a qtip in there you, it should be clean, if there is oil in there in may have wicked up to the ECU. You could unplug the connector from the ecu and check that also, but that is a bit tougher to get to.
this would be my guess. I would not think the evap system would cause misfires.
good luck
