Module Mayhem. SAM is that you?
2015 GL350 Bluetec. Ok so water intrusion ruined my adblue module. Cost an arm and a leg at the stealership to get it repaired (I may have taken it somewhere else but the 10 starts remaining light was lit and I had hoped aftermarket warranty would cover it but it didn’t). Water also got into the battery box.
So adblue module was replaced and now I get an intermittent dead car. Central locking is out. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it the heat/AC doesn’t come on. Car won’t crank and has a ton of faults. “3rd row seat not locked” “passenger side airbag” “traction control” and some others. I can probably get a list if that helps narrow it down.
Sometimes the car starts up and runs without issue or warnings, other times it is a dead paperweight. Even plugging it into my other car via jump cables and charging the battery a ways and trying again doesn’t resolve it.
Anybody out there have a good idea where to start? Seems possible that the front SAM is intermittent and failing since the symptoms cover so many problems and *if* the modules do wake up then the car works.
A picture or how-to access the SAM would be awesome.

Found it. Along the passenger side footwell and A-pillar. Going to multimeter the power connections and make sure it’s actually receiving power before I replace it.

This is an underrated section of the car when it comes to troubleshooting. I had an issue with the blower motor and, well, it was an issue with a connector in this area instead. As part of that, I accidentally disconnected something else and it completely killed the car. I had literally hundreds of fault codes. A very brief panic set in and then I reminded myself that things could be worse. All good ten minutes later.

Power fuse box was partially submerged too. Probably should have waited for multimeter to keep pulling things apart lol.
