Does Spare Steel wheel use different lugbolts?
Hey All
I recently picked up a 2017 GLS550 ( I posted this question in the GLS forum as well) I figure this forum has a little more activity so why not post here since most the changes for the facelift are cosmetic/electronics related. It seems the lug bolts for the aluminum wheels are too long to work with the steel wheels. and when I was looking at MB Parts catalog, it looks like it specifies different lugs for steel, but when I reference that part number for purchase it says it isn't compatible for my vehicle... just wanted to see if you all have a different set of lugs for the steel spare, and does anyone know the part number, so I can order online. I really don't want to pay $20/ea the Dealer.

I have a separate set of lug bolts for my spare, for my 2013 GL450. They're in a bag, in one of the cutouts in the foam insert for the spare wheel, next to all the tools. Do you have the foam insert with the jack and the other tools?
You could look up the part number on FCP Euro or MBpartscenter to see if they match.

Believe in this no that's the issue. I do have the foam insert and has all the tools but the area where the lug bolts go is empty. I saw a picture from another car with those in there so I'll have to get a set.
Contacted RBM Alpharetta... $47.50 for set of 5. dug around a little more on FCPEuro found the set for $20

Not sure what I was saying in the last post. "Believe in this no that's the issue."
Anyway, I found a set on Amazon (no plastic bag) for $15. They fit nicely in the little lug nut holes in the foam insert.
