I have a 2014 gl550 and it has started to have some knocking noise in the past 3-5xxx Km it’s currently sitting near 160,XXX km on the dash Got the hydraulic lift replaced but still lots of noise. any fixes or is this a big problem on this car. What’s my best course of action?

Does it change w RPM, cold or warm? Does it consume oil? I hate to say it, but it sounds like mine did, bore scoring. The mileage is about right. I am sure others will have an opinion, think whatever Amerisup (sp) says is probably right and I would proceed as he suggests.

The sounds thee same cold and warm but one think i noticed past 2500-3000 rpm the sound gets quieter but it’s very loud at idle there is also a rough idle.

What did you do later on with your GL one or two of my cylinders misfire at low rpm’s The boring could also be a possibility. who’s Amerisup?
