Installation of parking/coolant heater

I have found threads adjacent to this topic but not addressing this specific request, so starting a new thread...
It is very cold here and of course it isn't the time to do this, but summer will come and then I want to install a diesel parking/coolant heater, the Webasto Thermo Top Evo kind. I found an installation guide for installing the Webasto in an X166, an M class. Has anyone installed or seen an installation guide for an X166 GL 350?
For the mechanical side, I think it is a matter of finding a coolant hose into which the heater inlined, and the issue is find a suitable location (near coolant hose and a path for the exhaust and diesel supply).
Control-wise, I don't imagine any Webasto-Mercedes collaborative features work any more since mbrace isn't supported any more. There are knock-off heaters though that can be controlled from a remote, GSM or Bluetooth. I don't know how well these work as reviews are sparse. There's actually a product called FanControl from a company called TEC (seems German or Russian, not sure) that claims to control these heaters among other things. They even say it can control the HVAC in conjunction with the heater (i.e. starting the blower when the coolant's been warmed up), thereby providing the mbrace functionality. I think the FanControl product is a hardware box that you install and it comes with a GSM version. It is available for many EU brands.

Any experience or info about any of the above?
