What is in my oil pan?
As an exercise in thinking this scenario through to its conclusion, what would you do if its piston skirt particles or bearing particles or cam particles or high pressure fuel pump to cam particles?
Sell it immediately, get it fixed, drive it until it lets go? Each path dependent upon your situation. It could run for another 20k miles, it could blow up tomorrow, particles could have been seeded there by some unknown means not from inside your motor.
I think that if you were of the mindset to keep driving or fix, start with inspecting fuel injectors tracking respective cylinder #. Fix bad injector(s), perform dynamic compression analysis and a fuel pressure analysis at a reputable business, whether dealer or indy. Again, match cylinder number- is one cylinder showing scoring via boroscope?
next steps depend upon $, time, attachment to vehicle.
Let us know what is learned.
