SiriusXM Radio Issue
FIRST!!!!
My apologies if somehow this thread shows up twice.
I tried to post it, then couldn't find it and believe it did not post after all.
If it did and shows up twice, that's "operator error" and I'm sorry.
Hope you guys can help!
Recently acquired a very pretty 2015 GL550, and a few days later got the dreaded chatter in the transfer case!
(Did the PO know? I try not to dwell on stuff like that.)
Anyway, $2500 and a week later I have it back, with a pre-owned transfer case installed, and the vehicle now runs great!
BUT.....in the meantime I got a letter in the mail from SiriusXM advising me I "already" have a free 3 month trial of their service activated on m...in this GL550y. "new" GL550 and I should enjoy it on them until June!
I'd love to! And I have had Sirius service in other vehicles and there is always a button to go from AM to FM and then Satellite Radio, but all I see in the GL550 are the choices of AM, FM, or WB, which allows me the choice of 7 different weather bands, none of which seem to broadcast anything. But NO choice for sirius radio.
On the Comand screen there is a choice for the Mercedes internet services no longer in operation, as well as a choice for "Sirius Weather". When I try that I get a "device error" message on the screen.
How do I get to where I can access Sirius radio?
As much as I readily admit I will probably only use the service while it is either free or very cheap, I still want to overcome this problem! (I hate being defeated by a radio!)
I do have another question regarding the "sport/comfort" setting, but that's a question for another thread if I don't find the answer already posted somewhere here. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer on this dilemma!
