Hi again. So I changed my oil the other day and found tiny metal shavings (aluminum) on the filter. How bad is it? Can i prevent the bore scoring from getting worse using regular maintenance, doing the oil solenoid mode, etc or its all useless and i need to start looking for a new engine?

 

I see nobody is rly interested, but still, here is update. It has been 2000 km after the oil change. No shavings in the new oil filter. (i couldnt spread it out with one hand so you need to trust me on this).

 

Get oil analysis to see if there are any unusual wear characteristics if you are still concerned. Get sound generator to 'freshen up' your sound stamp. Lol on that. At least it runs with no codes. Best wishes.
