2014 GL450 Heater Hose Leak

Hello,

My 2014 GL450 has developed the heater hose leak at the plastic coupler at the firewall:

I'm ordering 166 997 14 59 to replace it. Should I also replace the hose running to the engine, #10 (166 830 41 96)?

Does this hose run to the intake manifold? I can't find the information on replacing this part in WIS. Does it involve pulling the intake manifold off?

If it's too much of a pain to replace, I will just leave it alone and replace the broken plastic coupler.

How many miles on vehicle? Usually this hose decomposes around 120k-150k miles. This is the first sign that all coolant hoses will need to be replaced (not kidding). Otherwise, you’ll fix this one, and in 2 months they start falling like dominos. Also look for seepage witness marks at the front drivers side support post. Radiator also close to replacement.

Car has 146k miles on it. I examined the hose and it looks to be in good condition. Is the plastic connector on the other end of it the problem?

Radiator was just replaced recently according to previous owner.

These coolant lines utilize some type of biodegradable plastic that literally turns to much around the 150k mark.
ok, radiator replaced, firewall theough fitting replaced, the rest will most likely fail one by one unless proactively replaced. Wish I had better news.

I'm in the middle of replacing the plastic fitting that runs through the firewall, but I can't access the hose that runs to the engine.

Anyone have details on what else needs to be removed to access this part? I've tried looking from underneath, but there is no access.
