the roof rails are driving me crazy. I'd like to find a way to remove them without causing a leakage of water or dust to the interior.

when I'm driving around and I look at other SUVs on the street, specialy the ones that look identical except with the roof rails, I always feel that the ones without the roof rails look more appealing, attractive, and even sporty. This is way I'm trying to find a way to remove them without causing any leakage of any kind to the vehicle.

I like them. Car feels naked without them. I think your main challenge would be to cover the attachment slots nicely.
