Just have not found anyone that is close to what Cassandra offers. If you are happy with the purchase, that's all that really matters.

Yeah, I should have called, probably could have saved $$, maybe even a few $$. I'll give her a call, my warranty is pro-rated so still can cancel. I haven't used it... yet.

I opted for a Zurich VSC and have been very pleased. It was very expensive, even though it was sold to me 'at-cost' to get the deal done by Motor Werks Auto Group in Barrington, Illinois. Less than a year in, it paid out over $4k for oil in the engine harness (see: https://mbworld.org/forums/gl-class-...e-harness.html). This is more than half of the contract's cost. I liked the Zurich VSC over the MB Warranty because it allowed me to take the car anywhere, and I simply do not trust Chicagoland MB dealerships to be honest about service. Zurich also offered more comprehensive coverage—even approving gasoline costs, for example! Zurich is hard to find, unfortunately.

I just traded my 2015 GL63 AMG for a 2021 GLS63 AMG. The 2015 was awesome! 98K+ miles. the only issue is that brake pads and rotors need to be changed every 1-2 year. Heavy car, I tend to drive fast. Tires last 1 year, I prefer summer performance tires. I have a separate set of snow tires that lasted 3 seasons. The new one is a beast. Only problem now is that I CAN NOT find snow tires.

You will probably need to run smaller wheels for snow tire availability. Not sure how you got a year between tire changes but I'm guessing you are spending half a year on snow tires. I can't get more than 10k miles out of tires. My 63 eats the rear tires like candy.

extend warranty or repairs savings account?

I have a 2014 GL63. All warranties have now expired. Haven’t had any problems with it but terrified of the big ticket issues that could hypothetically occur. I was offered a 3-yr 36k mile platinum extended warranty for $10,000 that is essentially bumper to bumper. It has a $500/incident deductible. Would you purchase the warrantee or build a savings account much like a health savings account in order to deal with repair costs?

Mathematically the warranty makes no sense. It costs 33% of the value of the vehicle. Roll the dice and if something major happens scrap it.

+1, makes no sense to spend that kind of money.

Is this the same Freedom Warranty you are selling?
