EBC redstuff ceramic brake pads

I just wanted to report on these pads. For about 15 years, I have been putting Akebono ceramic brake pads on all my cars. I love the fact that there is very little visible dust on my rims. I was not able to find Akebono pads for my gl63 so I did a search for low dust replacements. I read reviews and I bought the EBC redstuff and Installed them on the fronts and Im still waiting for the rears. Well, im just a bit disappointed in the low dust claims for the EBC redstuff. It has been 3 days and there is a very noticeable amount of dust on my front rims. I do not recommend these for low dust. I also notice a lower lack of bite in stopping. These are good brakes with no noticeable squeal but I am not happy with the brake dust. I guess I will have to wait until these wear down just a bit and hopefully they start making Akebono brakes for my gl63.

Id love to try those. is there an application for the gl63? I'm thinking that the ML63 or g63 might be compatible but not sure. Can someone chime in?

The claims are BS though. There is no way those pads will stop 18' sooner from 60 mph. As is, the GL 63's 60-0 is.less than 100'.

I've experienced the same lack of bite with ceramic pads. I think it will be hard to improve the bite of the stock pads especially from a dust free pad.

W166 and X166 AMG use the same brakes and pads. You can call Worldmotor sports directly to confirm and order. I ordered their ML63 downpipes and they were 100% bolt-on to my GL63.

I use OEM pads + ceramic coated my wheels. Once my warranty is up, I'll switch to RADO brake pads.

The break in coating on the EBCs need to wear off. After that, braking feel is noticeably better and also produces less brake dust. Had these on my E55 back in the day.
