2017 GLS63 Engine Temperature

2017 GLS63 Engine Temperature
Hi all
New to me GLS63 is running around 103 degrees when its up to temperature, cooling to around 98 degrees on longer runs. Fan is coming on at times to aid the cooling, after short runs occasionally, I expected it to run around 98 all the time, what are others getting please?
Pulls fine, sounds fine and mpg etc all fine. Has full MB history last done 5k miles and 10 months ago.
Temp is as per AMG menu in the instrument cluster.
Will be getting serviced soon anyway and I only use Motul 0w40 oil in my 157’s so maybe it just needs fresh oil but wanted to ask here first?

Couple of possible/probable things
1. Its leaking coolant, losing about an inch in the level indicator inside the expansion tank in a day or two, cant find the leak but its pooling in the frame right side of the engine bay just infront of the expansion tank area. Keeping it topped up so it doesnt run too hot.
2. Oil level seems low on the dipstick yet the low level warning isn’t showing which is odd.
Got her booked on to Mercedes on Monday and Tuesday for leak diagnosis and a service even though its not due for a couple of months.
