2014 GL63 - Engine Out - What else to get done?
Trying to take advantage of a $2,500 engine out + $2,500 engine in ($5,000 total) labor.
The MB Warranty is covering an engine out/in service to replace:
1) wiring harness
2) camshaft position sensors (this was done before and didn't fix the problem)
3) ECU
I'm going to ask them to inspect the (thanks to a lot of members here who have chimed in)
4) cam adjuster solenoids and
5) Oxygen (O2) sensor (I believe this plugs into the downpipe with the catalytic converter)
What else should I have inspected or done from a maintenance perspective? (around 65k miles)
6) engine mounts?
7) anything else?
What about from a performance perspective?
8) Weistec W3 Turbos? Renntech turbos? Pure Turbos?
9) Weistec True Downpipes? (not sure if they fit)
10) Wail Motorsport Engineering True Downpipes (bridge pipe)?
PS other items Wail has:
Thanks in advance.

Yes, downpipes, pure turbos, Eurocharged ECU/TCU. While you are in there, I would change the turbo coolant pipes and any other rubber pieces and parts to do with any fluids.

+1 on the motor mounts. Would check with these guys if they make one that will fit or if MB shares the engine mount across all M157's. Mercedes Archives - Creative Steel (creative-steel.com)
