GL63/GLS63 4Matic AWD 40:60 torque split
Can someone help explain how the GL63's 4Matic works? I know we have a 40:60 split due to the power, but is this AWD? 4WD?
My google search says it's AWD, but it's different compared to the sedan's AWD?
It looks like you can get 4WD if you get the on/off road package - only with a non-AMG car.

The permanent variant for AMG splits power between the front and rear at 31:69 for sedans, coupes and cabriolets, and 40:60 for SUVs, improving acceleration from a standing start.

"4MATIC Fully Variable" on the GLS torque split is 0 -100% front or rear. Would it be true that having different diameter tires on the front and back for this 4matic would be OK and not damage the transfer case? I understand for other 4matics that are set front rear torque spits different diameter tires front to back would damage the transfer case.
