Front Lower Ball Joint Nut Size needed!
I'm changing the front suspension on my 17 X166 (155k). The lower control arm ball joints use a rather large 12 point nut but my 39mm is too small and none of the shop foremen nor master mechanics know the size. Parts department does not as well. Does anyone know the precise size of the 12 point nut with the built in Castle nut for the ball joint (not the 30mm one shown in the parts pictorials)?

Thank you for this answer, was also looking for the right size of the nut.
Do you also know the size of the upper nut, where the Joit Ball is mounted at the lower control arm? I have a 28mm max which is too small, I measured an outer diameter of 40mm, so my guess is 36mm nut but could be wrong. Thanks for your advise.
