Suspension Issue

During a road trip this week, I hit a bump and got a warning light I did not recognize. After stopping and checking the owners manual, it was the air suspension warning. I looked at the car and the lower left is definitely the issue.

Is there a way to troubleshoot this? My buddy with an E63 AMG tells me its not a difficult job, but I want to make sure I know exactly what it wrong. I don’t want to spend a fortune on a strut and find out I have a pinhole in an air line.

Thanks in advance for the help!

A little more detail would be helpful.

Here are some pictures. I cleared the indicator and it hasn’t come back, but there is clearly an issue.

Looks like you need a new air strut.

Thanks! Do I need to bleed the air system when I’m done? If so, how is that done?
