2018 GLS63 - 55K Miles - Extended Warranty Necessary?
A little apprehensive on some of the issues with turbocharger/engine failures reported in the forum, do you guys recommend an extended warranty for a vehicle with this sorta profile ? If yes, would this be an engine or drivetrain one ? Thanks 🙏

This is a unique situation I have a level 3 extended warranty which I can't get service because the dealer who offered me the contract is no longer in ***************************.. and per contract I can only see the dealerships repair shop.. dowc claims their info is updated and the dealership is i fact in buisness and that they moved .. but I advised them the new owners are now called LUXURY AUTO COLLETORS.. and they are using the same phone lines...and the same employees and they have no affliction with PARKWOOD..I only ask we come to some type of agreement since dowc has already been paid by the dealer (warranty contract) at time of signing...this is not your normal occurrence.. and expect to be compensated ..

08/22/2024DOWC Administration Services, LLC (DOWC) serves as administrator of vehicle service contracts and other products offered by dealers in connection with the sale of new and used vehicles. As such, DOWC is responsible for processing claims and providing other administrative services in connection with such products.
The Customer purchased a vehicle service contract number DOW252087 (Contract) from a motor vehicle dealership (Selling Dealer) (redacted version of Contract attached) DOWC only serves as administrator of the contract meaning its only obligation is to review and process claims and cancels. DOWC does not have any financial obligation in the Contract. All obligations and liabilities for repairs covered by this service contract are those of the Provider and not the Administrator which administers this service contract for the Provider, See attached Contract at Page 2. As expressly stated in the Contract, the Selling Dealer is the obligor for the payment of claims and cancels.
On or about January 31, 2024, Customer filed a claim related to the sunroof in the covered vehicle. He was informed that the claim was partially covered. As per the contract, the selling dealer (Provider) is the entity that pays out claims. Provider is defined as the Selling Dealer.
DOWCs only obligation to review and process the claim was fulfilled. The Customer was informed to contact the Selling Dealer to have the repair completed. We respectfully request that BBB close the complaint and remove the Customers review.

They only markup the CPO $200. Best deal out there for MB CPO. If Rafael is not there, just get with another rep. I tried Jeff Jackson and it was not the best deal. Give both dealerships a try and see which one is best but keep in mind it is the same warranty regardless of what MB dealership sells to you. Some just mark it up more than others.
