How to freeze airmatic at max height position and jack up the car without airmatic de

Hi folks.

Recently acquired a 2017 GLS 63 AMG. Planning to do some maintenance myself.
I have noticed when I jack up the car, Airmatic compensate by deflating the corner that was lifted
After the car is returned to the ground. I need to start the engine for the car to self level. No issues so far as I think that is expected behavior. If it is not please let me know.

I'm planning to buy a set of "Powerbuilt 3 Ton, Bottle Jack and Jack Stands in One" to work under the car. (If there is a better solution than this for the ones without a car lift, please share)
I prefer to work under the car with the wheels in the ground when possible, so I have a set of wooden platforms made by stacking 5 pieces of 2"x12"x30". It is basically a big wooden solid box.
The plan is to jack up 2 corners, put the wood platforms under the tires and lower the jacks enough for the car weight to rest on its tires, but also keep the jacks/ jack stands in place in case airmatic fails on me. The paltform also have tire stops so the car cannot roll on its own.
This may sound overkill, but safety never is. I have not tested this so Im not sure if I will be able to stack 4 or 5 wooden pieces together before making a permanent wood block with screws. It is going to be heavy for sure.

With this setup, following the Airmatic logic, it will deflate on the 2 corners I have lifted, and when I lower the jacks after positioning the wooden platforms I will loose the gained height, plus it will not be enough room to remove the jacks if needed. I will need to start the engine and set it to max height, making everything real hot to work under the car and defeating the purpose.

My question is, how can I achieve the car suspension to stay in the max height with the engine off even when the car has been jacked up and wheels have been in the air? My thinking is I can set the car to max height the night before and rise it in the air next morning. Should the key remain inside the car or not?

Thanks in advance

R.
