2021 GLS63 Rear Ceramic Brake Pads
Does anyone know of a ceramic brake pad that will fit the rear of a 2021 GLS63? My 2021 GLS63 has the carbon ceramic brakes on the front but standard brakes on the rear. I don't see any from Brembo or Akebono options that say they fit. I would love to reduce the brake dust on the rear wheels and think it would balance the braking feel. Not sure why MB limits the ceramics to the front only on these.

Unfortunately, you will not find ceramic dustless pads for the rear that are a direct fit for your GLS63. The rear brakes on your model are a specific, high-performance iron system designed to work with the front carbon ceramics. Major manufacturers like Brembo and Akebono do not offer a ceramic low-dust compound for this application because it would dangerously upset the brake balance engineered by Mercedes.
Your best option is to look for a low-metallic pad from a performance brand like EBC (their Redstuff ceramic hybrid compound) or Hawk, but you must confirm exact fitment for your specific model year. This will reduce dust but will not perfectly match the feel of the front carbon ceramics. The factory balance is calibrated for safety, which is why MB doesn't offer a mixed ceramic/iron setup from the factory.
