2021 GLS 63 - Check Engine Light - Code P06DA00
I have a 2021 GLS 63 AMG with 36,300 miles on it. The factory warrant expired earlier this year.
About a week ago the check engine light came on. I took it to the local dealership and they diagnosed the code P06DA00 (actuation of the Y30 valve is open/shorted) as the fault. They quoted me $10,300 (parts and labor) for the repair - because the engine/transmission will need to come out to replace valve and harness. This is obviously very hefty and I declined repair.
I am in Pennsylvania. Does any know of a cheaper non MD option in PA/NJ/NY area that can offer the repair at a cheaper cost?

Get a second opinion from an independent Mercedes or European specialist. Search for highly-rated shops in Philly, NYC, or North Jersey. They have the expertise for AMG models and will charge significantly less than the dealer.
