GLA 250 e (PHEV) charging issues

I just purchased a GLA 250 e (model 2024, i.e. facelift) and realized that since 2022 Mercedes is restricting domestic charging (Mode 2, i.e. with schuko) to 8A/1.6KW for safety reasons (specs for 2021 models seem to allow also charging at 10A/2.3KW). The cable provided has also the same specifications (8A/1.6KW). Previously I had a KIA which could charge at 10A/2.3KW. I used a cable that supports up to 10A/2.3KW but car still charges at 8A/1.6KW. Then I thought about buying a cable that allows selecting the desired amperes (e.g., https://go.skimresources.com/?id=130...lick%20%5B2%5D). I placed the order some days ago but have not received it yet, however I read that the amperes selected act as "cutter" to protect your domestic installation rather than force charging to the selected value (in my case, this would be 10A in order to charge at 2.3KW). The car charges fine at 3.7KW (Mode 3) when using a wallbox. So somehow it differentiates the way if behaves if using Mode 2 vs. Mode 3. Any ideas? Is there a way to cheat it? Could there be some software patch available? By the way yesterday, I talked to somebody driving next to me who also had a GLA 250 e but an older model (not the facelift), and he confirmed that he is able to charge at 2.3KW at home! Thanks!

I found such a cable for testing and indeed it acts as a "cutter" to protect the domestic installation rather than forcing charging to the selected value.

Another question:
Does anybody know if it is possible to connect a Type 3 cable with a Type 2 in a raw?
More specifically: Car Type 3 male plug -> { cable Type 3 female plug -> cable Type 3 male plug } -> { cable Type 3 female plug -> cable Type 2 male plug } -> Domestic schuko female plug.
The reason is that I want the car to think that it is connected to a wallbox.
