Open door alarm (?)

Open door alarm (?)
I started to drive GLA-250 2016 with wide open rear door and the only alarm that I have heard was my wifes' scream (it was very effective I have to admit ). In my other cars (Infinity and Acura) any attempt of driving with open doors triggers all kind of alerts.
According to the Benz dealer - in GLA250 alert will be triggered when the car speed is above 5m/h. It does not make any sense to me. Most likely the noise of crashing door will get you attention much sooner.
Any comments (except of: you should not drive with your damn door opened)?
