Just Ordered New 2021 GLA 250 4 Matic, was given a production order number and date of first decade of Feb 2021 (produced in Germany), and dealer said should be delivered by end of Feb. How reliable usually are these production date estimate? The date was a bit farther out as due to dealer allocation getting the options I wanted, but I'm fine to wait a few more weeks. Although shipping from Germany from production to delivery of only 3 weeks seems too good to be true, I am based in NY.

Any thoughts or experience with custom delivery dates? Appreciate it.

Production-delivery dates are typically fairly accurate. Of course especially in these pandemic days there could be some delays. Factory robots will continue to work but the Just In Sequence (JIS) supporting humanoid vendors may have issues. Also awaiting a cargo ship in port. Atlantic transit, especially in Winter, can be adverse weather affected. There can be holdups in US Customs or receiving port technical augmentation/inspection. And of course over-the-road transport delays to your dealership. But those are exceptions, so remain optimistic.

The last delivery from Germany that I got was a 08 Oct factory build day and 01 Nov delivery taken at dealership (including a Customs delay), so pretty close to 3 weeks.

It took two months to receive our GLA which was a custom order from Germany. It was about a week earlier than expected. Excellent status dates along the way. Good luck. You will love it.
