new to Mercedes; looking for 1st one
Navigation option?
Hi,
I'm getting ready to purchase a GLA (my 1st Mercedes)... do you think it's good to add the navigation package on or should I just plan on using Apple car play? Those of you that have navigation, are you happy you have it & is it easy to use?
Would appreciate any info...

Get with Navi. My suggestion. But if you drop it, it is not like you will miss it. But good to have extra feature it can free your phone for other things

thx for the reply! good to know thx.. yeah it seem a lot of the GLA's available don't come with it so I'm debating building my own which means I could add it.. the only issue is how long it may take to get the car but hopefully worth the wait

Welcome! I noticed the engine sound loud to me. Maybe it is because the engine compartment is small and/or the turbo grinding sound which I searched is normal for this car. The cabin is quite. I have GLE 350 2018 V6 that engine sound is much quieter than my 2021 GLA 250. It is because it is non turbo and V6 engine are known to be quite and the engine compartment is big so muffles the sound.
Overall my experience with GLA 250 is good. One more thing when I put my car in reverse the reverse camera takes almost a min to close after changing to drive from the reverse. But when I reverse and then P and then drive it shuts down quickly. I want the camera to shut off during Reverse to drive quickly. I do not know if this is an issue or normal. But does not make sense why the camera is on for a min and I can see road going back in the head unit which hides the other features like radio and navigation till the camera shuts off. One time I miss a small quick turn because of this
