2015 GLA250 Front of Engine oil Leak
Hello all
Just bought my wife a 2015 GLA250 4matic with 88k miles. Vehicle runs perfectly, everything works and No Error codes at all :-)
The only issue is a rather bad oil leak from the front of the engine, below the engine mount. It has obviously been leaking for quite some time and the alternator is particularly soaked with oil. With the lack of room I can't get in there to clean the area to try to isolate the leak. Does anyone have any idea where this may be originating, so I can get the seal(s) I need prior to repair? I've attached a couple of photos from below and one from the top, which as you can see is clean
Many Thanks in anticipation!

Go to your local parts store and buy some engine dye. It's not very expensive. Put that in your engine and that'll tell you where the oil leak is. You need to solve this oil leak ASAP. It will be catastrophic if your engine runs out of oil.

I'll try some of that dye and see how it goes. It does appear from my research that the likely culprit is the timing case cover and a lack of sealant?
Anyone know if the timing case cover can be removed with the engine in place?
