GLA 45 AMG EDITION 1
Sweet ride!!!
I love the look! Picked up a Editon 1 here in Canada, Manitoba to be exact and I'm in the same boat. Have 1200 kms on it and now have it stored for winter. I'm just dieing to drive it and get the break in period over to get the full experience of an AMG!!
Need to get some winter tires but on the same note don't want it to get sand blasted from all the sand on the roads.

I actually had the same issue. Ended up goin with bridgestone blizzak 245/40/20 with stock wheels and so far has went like a tank in the snow I've seen this year.

Chevy Caprice. Planning to buy GLA45
I, too, used to own a STi although it was some time ago... I have also owned a Evo 8. Both cars modded to well over 400awhp. Anyway, I've been away from the car scene as I was focusing on my business and started a family. Now I am back in the market for a fun, family car that I can comfortably drive with my wife and a 6-mo. old baby and GLA45 AMG seems like the perfect fit.
Anyway, mat grey looks pretty darn good and somehow the aero kit looks much better with it, although I prefer not to have the wing and canards.
I really want to hear about how it compares to the STi as that is a reference point that we can both share. I really loved mine and it's probably the favorite car I have owned. I did everything with it. Drive long distance trips, go to track days and auto-x, drive like a madman in snowstorms... ahh the memories! If GLA45 is at least 80% as fun as STi was while offering much more features and comfort, I would be a very happy man.

Did you special order it? Looks crazy man! Can you post a picture of the sticker? As i'm about to order one and wanted to see which packaged do you have.
I'm between an Edition 1 and a custom not sure what to do.
Thanks

Yes Butt....
I agree it does have that look, and I'm telling you the car in pictures doesn't have the same affect that it does if you see it in person on the road. Yes looks like another SUV/hot hatch but young or old rich or poor it seems like every one has to take a second look to figure out what it is. Now maybe I've never owned a fancy enough car before this but I've never been told to roll my window down at the lights just to receive a compliment before I started driving my edition 1. What gets me is the guys that pull up in there $120-$180 Benz, jags and Audie's just to say nice car.

To each his own but I don't want or need my daily to look like that. It's a sleeper and there when I want it. With the Remus, Rebellion V2, down-pipe, TRS and Trans Tune, it's plenty fast without having to look the part. If I need to go faster, right next door is a highly modified BMW R Nine T with a 1270 Big Bore Kit, cams, tune and Remus Full Race Exhaust.
Besides, didn't this particular AMG get totaled? Weren't you selling the seats on EBay?

Picked up my GLA last week! This was a direct replacement for my STi DD and I could not be happier!
Car is a beast and looks like a beast. Its like Mercedes took the STi, refined it and put their benz and AMG touches on it. I have 300 miles on it so far so I haven't opened her up, but a few hard pushes and you can tell this engine is insane...(coupled with a AWD DCT this is gonna be way faster than I could ever hope to push my STi especially off the line)...cant wait to race start it after a couple hundered more miles.
Exterior is way more amazing than I though it would be...the matte paint its out of this world...red calipers and 20 inch black rims are perfect touches as well.
Interior wise its definitely missing some nice touches from higher class benzes, but thats to be expected from an entry level car. Interior space is a little more cramped than I though it would be for an "SUV" (which is laughable MBUSA wants to call it that), but its still more space than my STi so no complaints (plus the cargo space, hatch and fold down rear seats makes this car the ultimate DD and practical every day car).
Over all super happy...will report more when breakin is done, and ill prob pop a tune on this beast as well.
Pics below!
(MODS PLEASE OPEN GLA 45 AMG FORUM...didnt know where to post this and this seemed most appropriate for time being).

AMG GLA 45, Snap Crackle Pop
I just got a 2018 GLA 45 as well. I love it. One of the best handling an quickest cars I've owned. I was able to retain my rims off my old GLK 350 4MATIC and swap them. I like them better, as I feel the AMG wheels are somewhat dated. : )

So officially up for sale in NY as I'm looking for next car. 55k miles, and condition is mint inside, and excellent outside other than a few small dings. Matte paint holds up incredibly well over time. Stock other than a kleeman bypass tune which adds over 50HP (I can sell with or without it since its just a harness you install).
DM me with offers or asking price. Keep in mind this is a rare color combo, and its almost fully loaded (68k MSRP). So no lowballs.
