garage door remote integration
A friend of mine recently purchased a 2017 gla45 AMG. When trying to program her garage door opener she could not locate the buttons usually under rear view mirror. After calling the dealership they told her that feature is no longer available, is this true?

Wow, I can't believe that this would even be considered an option, especially on an AMG model. Why wouldn't the salesperson make it mandatory to purchase. Wtf is wrong with people?

The car was a custom order, and she got just about every option available. I'll try and get a picture of the build from the sticker but it's a sweet ride. Matte finish paint job, black rims. Black out package.....I guess the sales rep didn't think this was important feature, and my friend would've purchased it for sure. She just assumed it would've been included.

While not familiar with MB rearview mirrors, you can investigate an aftermarket Gentex mirror with Homelink. I installed one in my 2000 Durango and then again in my 2007 Sentra. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...irror+homelink

It is quite possible / easy to retrofit this. You do need Online Star Diagnosis and not just a clone as the vehicle's data card needs updating and various things need coding to enable it.
(It has some security in it, to prevent someone stealing a mirror and powering it up to open your gates/garage)
