HI, my buddy has a 15 GLA45 and his rear diff just started chattering. Looks like he needs a fluid change. He has only had it for 6 months or so and got it used. I looked up the procedure on Alldata and it says you need the M-B diagnostic tool to do all these resets and relearn procedures after changing the fluid. Is there a way to do this without taking it to the dealer and do it properly? I have a shop with a lift and can do the fluid change, no problem. Im just concerned that these resets and relearning need to be done also. Thanks.

Just curious, did you ever figure this out?
I'm not sure about the '15, but the '19 has a service interval of 20K MILES for the rear diff. Yes, it needs a diff service more frequently than the trans service (which is already frequent at 30k miles...)
