Just ordered one

Went to the dealership last week to put in an order for a GLB. Sales guy said Production date might be around end of March. Has anyone ordered theirs yet and how long does it take from production start date to delivery to the dealership?

Don't overlook ordering the garage door opener which I presume is a Homelink mirror. It's not part of the standard equipment.

Yup got that already added. It’s pretty much loaded except for the Drivers Package.

I'm very curious what sort of a "deal" you got OFF THE MSRP.......typically I go for about 10% off sticker and consider that pretty good BUT with a new model like the GLB250 and a limited supply at dealers, I don't really have a handle on what I can hope to negotiate for. Any thoughts?

I was able to get 9% plus a fleet discount of $500 off of MSRP on paper. In the end I told the sales guy what I really wanted was 10% and my fleet discount ($500) and he said that is doable. So that’s the discount I’m looking forward to but nothing is fully finalized until the car comes in. So shop around, it looks like 10% discount off MSRP is doable. Other dealerships will say that they can’t do that steep of a discount because it so new and limit supply blah blah blah.....they lying to you.

"Lying to a customer".......say it ain't so!!!!!......LOL, LOL
Thanks so much for the information, I appreciate it. As I wrote 10% off list is typically a decent deal, from past experience. So when I "pull the trigger" my negotiating starting point will be greater than 10%........

I'm surprised you were able to order the car without finalizing the "deal".....if I have that correct from your reply.

Yeah Mercedes dealing is weird. They won’t finalize the price of the car till the car comes in. They say because of Mercedes incentive program. Any incentives from MBUSA gets pass down to the customer and will lower the price. But with this new of a car and like the GLE there is no incentives unless you have some sort of company fleet discount. When calling around, that’s the sales pitch you will get and it’s frustrating trying to see if they are willing to negotiate with you.

Thanks!
An interior "thing" I noticed.....(slight but I tend to notice this kinda stuff).....On some of the videos I've seen there is a sliding cover over the console drink holders and small storage area under the AC/heater controls....I like this sliding cover. HOWEVER, it appears that cover has been eliminated, perhaps because some videos were of a "per-production" car......that's too bad because the sliding cover is both a way to hide stuff and also looks very sharp when closed. It hides the garbage collecting cup holders when not in use and makes for a clean look.....TOO BAD it appears that cover is now on the "cutting room floor".....(just being a nit-picker I guess). Not a deal breaker.

Yeah the US market won’t have the sliding cup holder cover. It seems like the European market and the AMG model will have it.

I went to the dealer at Fairfield, CA 2 days ago, asked about the GLB price. The sales said there will be no discount, not even a penny if I order the GLB. Discount only apply to in stock GLB.

They suck...take note of that dealership and move on to the next. That just means that they are super greedy and want their money now and get rid of their inventory. Do they even have the GLB to your spec?

They don't have what I am looking for. I just want to add heat seat, rim upgrade & carbon mirror. If I can get around 8-10% off MSRP, I would be very happy. That will be my wife's GLB and she doesn't need all those tech stuffs.

Due to COVID-19, my order got cancelled and now production will be going to 2021 model, so it looks like I will need to reorder it again. Good thing is, it'll be a 2nd production year car... bad thing is, looks like the price is going to go up.

that sucks major *****, major *****! That news and the way it kills the anticipation of a new car..

i wonder how they decide which order to cancel. On the glc form, there are folks that fit your order time frame but luckily didnt get canceled.
