Just got my first ever mercedes. It is the 2020 GLB250 4matic. I had few questions about it.
Am i able to play any videos on the infotainment system? (Meaning via usb stick. In other car you were able to put speicific video formats on the thumbdrive and it would play them. Does a DVD format or mp4 work in this car via usb?)
I got the AMG package in the options. They gave me 19" wheels. I want to get another standard pair for snow tires, just the steels ones for winter. What size/pattern should i shop for?
I saw an option in the mercedes me menu for a url. Can this system open any website like youtube or browse internet within the car?
1) i tried and failed. it will play the audio stream from an mp4 though! It plays mp3's from usb with ease. I gave it 15,000 files that my old mercedes 'connect' system would struggle with and had no problems.....
2) 235/55/r18 is the standard wheel size.
3) yes, but only while the car is not moving, and you'll also need to activate the hotspot (and pay for service, with AT&T in the USA). I've not found a way to use other wifi sources (like my phones hotspot and the manual stated that is only possible when the built in hotspot is not installed)

I have the AMG package and no one knows the rim specs for it. Mine came with R19, 19" wheels. I know the bolt pattern is 5-112 but what about offset, width and hub bore. Even the dealership doesn't know.
I finally got the rim specs for my car from mercedes customer care. It is as following:
235/50/R19 on 19x7.5 with 53 offset. The center bore is 66.6 and 5 bolt 112. As you can see i have the 19" option due to the AMG sport brakes. You may have 18" and then follow:
235/55/R18 on 18x7.5 with 53 offset.
I purchased the closest winter wheels which are:
As the seem to have identical specs other than the offset (which is 33 meaning they will be 0.8 inches further away) i think they should work. Will comment back when they are installed. The winter tires are bridgestone blizzak 235/50/r19.
I tried a bunch of mp4s, mkv and even some divx all seem to play just audio, no video.
I'm curious....How's the Dual Clutch Transmission in the snow? Does it go crazy when the wheels are slipping?
So far even with the all-seasons the car drives pretty well, one thing i did notice is from stop to moving it takes a long time to pick up. Its like the accelerator doesnt respond at all, its like a sponge. I think it just trying to gain traction without doing much drama and once it has, it really gets going. You really do not feel anything within the cabin, it drives like a dream. So short answer, i think it is pretty drama free and smooth. Also yes i could go with steel 18" but remember they rust in my town within days due to salt on roads. When the rim gets rusted, that will make its way within the breaks and other components which it is sitting on. My dealer said buy the cheapest alloys so there isn't a big issue with rust. Also the tires i got are on sale and fit 19". the Steels were $100 a piece and these rims are about $200 and look a lot nicer. So i went with it.
When you say it’s taking a long time to get going from stop to start, are you referring to it being in the snow or in regular driving? Because that was one of my thing too when I was test driving it. Since it’s a manual transmission with the clutch being control by a computer, first gear is always going to be inconsistent with the engagement. I didn’t really want to floor it at a stop with the sales guy in the car, so I don’t really know how slow or fast first gear engagement was going to be. I currently drive a BMW with a manual transmission and from what I can remember the DCT does feel like a regular manual transmission in first gear.

I am not too technical but the first gear is very soft regardless of snow or not. Its like if you even press the throttle half way down it wont do much, it will slow creep up to speed giving it the "no drama" acceleration and old lady like movement. Moment you are ast 10km or 15km mark, the thing rockets. Hope that explains lol.
I see in some pictures of the GLB250 the front end has "fog lights" on either side of the lower grill (and the one I saw in the showroom) while other pictures have solid black panels and no fog lights......what gives? I don't see "fog lights" as a selective option.

They come at a very heft upgrade, look up "Technology Package" that gives ya all sort of headlamps and techs with fog lamps too. (At least the dealer told me). Do not confuse this with Premium package which is for other stuff.
Here's one more question......can anyone tell me IF the MB "voice assistant" can be turned OFF? From what I've read the system is so sensitive that whenever someone in the front says the word "Mercedes" (even during a conversation) the "voice assistant" will annoyingly activate.
I think I asnwered my own question...saw a video on the info screen and it appears there is a "selection" to turn it on or off.......never mind...LOL
Zik Mir, I forgot to check, but can you tell me if the rear windows has washer fluid spraying onto the windows when the rear wiper are used? I hope it doesn't come with the windows fluid sprayer, seeing how if there is a leak with it, we will be in a world of hurt.

There is. Two ways to run the rear wipers, one button you hold and it sprays water while cleaning, the other is only cleaning no water. So yes, the rear window does have washer lines running.

I'm not sure if the GLB has Intelligent LED headligjts but if it does then you don't get regular fog lights....
at least this is the case with the GLC!
OP: Nice pickup, I;m in the process of getting one for my wife, basically the same package as you. I'll upload once we take possession hopefully if the wife doesnt change her mind
